To lead is to serve.
My first day at CAA, I wanted to know everything and how I can align myself to serve the company and its mission. I built an open line of communication with my colleagues and focused on learning different functional roles within the agency to get a deep understanding of the inter-workings and business operations and discover how I can best add value as a teammate. Practicing accountability and learning how to problem solve and adapt in a moment’s notice were just two key skills I developed that set up my foundation for excellence and merit.
I genuinely love helping artists and creators and giving them a platform to express their creativity, uniqueness, and story. And I do that by listening and exercising empathy. Understanding each artist and their individual needs, objectives, and dreams enables me to strategically put a plan into place and execute at scale. I thrive collaborating with cross-functional teams in fast-paced environments. It just works.
Booking concerts is exceptionally exciting to me because the pace is lightning fast and transactional. I excel at booking administration and account management tasks. That means reviewing artist contracts, invoicing and collecting payments, streamlining the incoming flow of information, and tracking assets and deliverables. Additionally, analyzing dollar figures and deals with a data-driven mindset is one of my favorite parts of the job. Using Excel and spreadsheets are actually fun to me!
My passion and hobbies are driven by my entrepreneurial spirit and truth to never stop learning. I like to take long walks and listen to podcasts. I’m also always reading, whether it’s a book, newsletter, essay, or blog. I enjoy meeting new people and hearing new insights and perspectives. I believe in “giving back” to the community and will help and give advice to those who ask.
